Khaya made his TV return earlier this year since his exit from SABC1’s Uzalo. He bagged a role on Mzansi Magic’s popular drama series ‘Ehostela’ joining the second season of the series. ‘Ehostela’is centered around township violence and the deadly taxi industry. He plays the character of Nxebale Ndoda on the show.

Introducing his character to his fans, he posted a picture of Nxebale Ndoda with a caption: “Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to Nxebalendoda, who will join you tonight at 8 pm Ehostela Season 2… Your television will never be the same again.”

Khaya has also been a victim of the current world pandemic. He tested positive for coronavirus last year in July. Speaking about his recovery process then, he wrote: “I’m living proof of beating Covid-19. 14 days of isolation have been a journey of introspection, new habits, and (the) return of some old ones. This journey has been an emotional and psychological battle. The day people understand the power of the mind, the better. As soon as your mind tells your lungs you can’t breathe … you will not breathe. As soon as your mind tells your body you are dying … You will die.”

Khaya is currently a host of a breakfast show ‘The Uprising’ on Gagasi FM every weekday from 6 am-9 am.
