As the whole nation is in a sombre mood saying their last respects to fallen Minister in the Presidency, Jackson Mthembu. National treasure Rasta The artist struck again with another one of his trademark paintings. Rasta has been busy in the last couple of days. Some even commented on how good he had become. These sentiments were quickly taken back after rasta showed off his latest artwork of Jackson Mthembu.
In honour of the late minister, Rasta took to his pencils and paint to draw not one but two portraits of Minister Jackson Mthembu using some of his pictures that dominated the TL over the past week as people shared their condolences.
While some tweeps could see similarities between Jackson and the man Rasta drew, others were hurt by his drawings, which they felt looked nothing like the minister they knew and loved.
Meanwhile, Rasta seemed pretty chuffed with himself and on Twitter wrote a heartfelt caption to accompany the two portraits.
RIP to the Minister in Presidency. Let’s continue praying for a better year.
