Popular Mnakwethu Wife MaShelembe has been reportedly robbed over R20 000 by a lady named Mathonsi who organized her baby shower on the 25th of September this year in Richards Bay.

According to Isolezwe, MaShelembe’s lawyers, Rajaram Mvulane Attorneys are demanding that Mathonsi pays Mashelembe the total amount of R20 940.

The lawyers revealed that Mathonsi visited MaShelembe’s home, asked for her bank account, and went with her to the bank to verify that it was active.

The publication shared that Mathonsi then decided to call out for people to contribute to MaShelembe’s baby shower.

MaShelembe’s lawyer revealed that after the money was donated into her account, on the 23rd of September, Mathonsi and Andy Brown called her and demanded that she send R5000 into Andy’s account and she did. She was asked again to pay R7 240 for the baby shower venue.

It is also reported that she was also forced to pay for accommodation at Indaba Guest House for Mathonsi and her sibling.

Isolezwe also revealed that the lawyer’s letter confirmed that money amounting to R8700 was stolen from MaShelembe’s account on different dates from the 16th (R3000) 18th (R3000) and the 20th of September (2700).

MaShelembe’s lawyers have reportedly ordered Mathonsi to pay the money within three days, and she was also ordered to write letters of apology to MaShelembe and another one to MaShelembe’s family, and the third one to the South Africans who donated their money.

MaShelembe was meant to have two provincial baby showers, another one planned for Saturday, September 26 in Durban at the Botanical Gardens by Ncumisa Ndelu according to SowetanLive. The publication reported that Ncumisa had to cancel the baby shower because there was another baby shower planned for her on the same day.

She told the publication in a statement that MaShelembe dropped her on the last minutes, “This morning I requested the name of a school closest to her to enable the driver to find her easily. At this point, she informed me that on Friday she will be traveling to Empangeni. I then asked how this was possible because we had agreed on the weekend and everything it entailed.

“…all the women who wanted to shower Makhosi with love…the organiser made it clear that her plan was not flexible in any way, but promised to speak to her committee and get back to me in an hour with a resolution…” The publication quoted her.

According to police sources, this was the second time Thato was spotted wearing military uniform in a week.

“Members of the CPF said the first time, they saw him in uniform leaving a house. They asked him what he was doing at that house because they suspect someone is selling drugs there. He claimed he was also a community patroller and they let him go.

“When they saw him leaving the same house for the second time, they confronted him again. His story didn’t make sense. They asked him why he was patrolling alone and they also asked him about the military fatigues and he couldn’t explain himself, so they handed him over to us,” said a source.

At the height of his fame, Thato was a member of popular duo Zulu Mob with Desmond “Dez” Radebe.

Thato is also one of the people behind the success of Jub Jub’s massive hit song Ndikhokhele.

The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) has confirmed that convicted murderer, Paralympian Oscar Pistorius, has been moved from a correctional facility in Pretoria to a prison in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape.

DCS spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo said the move was part of a process in which Pistorius is eligible for parole after serving half of his 13-year sentence.

The disgraced athlete has been serving the sentence for the murder of his model girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine’s Day in 2013.

Steenkamp’s parents live in the Eastern Cape.

“The transfer is necessitated by the need to commence with the processes of a victim-offender-dialogue as the victims are based in Gqeberha. Offenders participate in the victim-offender-dialogue as part of their rehabilitation path, wherein they are able to acknowledge the harm they have caused to their victims and the society at large,” Nxumalo added.

He said the victim-offender-dialogue was an internal process.

“Victim-offender dialogues are sensitive, emotional and inconsolable; hence they are presided [over] by highly trained officials who ought to ensure that all parties derive value from the process. DCS is unable to pre-empt the timeframe as this will be guided by the level of preparedness by all participants.”

He added that victim-offender-dialogues were not a parole placement process, but a programme that took place before an offender could be considered for parole.
