Kelly recently dropped the trailer for Season 3 of her hit Showmax’s reality show Life With Kelly Khumalo, and it left tongues wagging online. This season kicks off with #KellyKhumalo trending on Twitter once again, as the release of a true-crime documentary series about the death of Senzo Meyiwa approaches.
The explosive trailer sees Kelly talking about Senzo’s death “They hate the fact that I didn’t die that day,” Kelly says in the trailer. She also says “Life has its challenges. No one said it was going to be an easy process. You need to remember that the higher you rise, the harder you may fall.”
The singer is breathing a huge sigh of relief after it was recently revealed in court that the second docket in the Senzo Meyiwa trial had no merit, so the National Prosecuting Authority dismissed it.
According to the second docket Kelly Khumalo, Zandile Khumalo, Longwe Twala, Gladness Khumalo, Tumelo Madlala, Mthokozisi Thwala and Maggy Phiri were the suspects in the case and they were also accused of defeating the ends of justice.
The trial started on a dramatic note a couple of weeks ago when advocate Malesela Teffo claimed that Kelly allegedly shot Meyiwa by mistake using a revolver that came with Longwe Twala.
“I put it to you that … an eyewitness will testify that Senzo Robert Meyiwa was allegedly shot by Nonhlanhla Kelly Khumalo by mistake as it is alleged” he claimed.
He added “The same eyewitness will further testify that the firearm used to shoot Senzo Robert Meyiwa by Kelly Khumalo came with Longwe Twala, and that firearm was a revolver.”
Kelly Khumalo was shocked by the revelation made by Adv Teffo through her legal team. “At first I didn’t want to call her as she was upset. When we spoke her reaction was I am a mother. My child was three months. How dare he,” said her lawyer Magdalene Moonsamy.
“What do they want from me. It started with claims of intimidation. She then said we are going to now break the silence,” she added in her interview with eNCA. “She’s confident. Kelly is a person of high spirits you don’t get to that level without character development and building,” she said.
What Happened To Black Coffee’s Hand?
Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, popularly known as DJ Black Coffee, is one of the most accomplished personalities in Mzansi whose name is known far and wide across the globe.
Considered among the richest celebrities in South Africa and among the richest entertainers in Africa, Black Coffee is an internationally acclaimed, multi-award-winning deejay who also dabbles as a music producer and a businessman.
And while his success and stories of conquest always dominate our headlines, DJ Black Coffee is only human, and like us all, he too has his “shortcomings” and his is on his left hand, which for the longest time he tried to hide from the public’s eye.
Here is a look at what exactly happened to Black Coffee’s hand and arm and why he thinks he wouldn’t be a great deejay if he could work with both of his hands.
What is wrong with Black Coffee’s hand?
After decades of keeping the story about his left hand and arm private, in 2017, Black Coffee came clean about what happened to it during an interview with Anele Mdoda on Real Talk.
During the interview, the internationally acclaimed DJ narrated how on the eve of the late Nelson Mandela’s release in 1990, he and his grandmother joined the crowds in celebrating the big event.
At around 3 or 4 am, he heard a loud blast that sounded like a gunshot, he blacked out and when he later woke up, there was fire and people including himself were being rushed to the hospital. Apparently, a taxi had veered off the road and bumped into people who had lined the streets.
At the hospital, doctors examined Black Coffee’s hand and concluded that it was just a minor fracture and sent him home but the pain was too much and after one day, his grandmother sent him to a hospital in Durban where he consulted with a specialist.
After examination, the doctor revealed that the nerves on his shoulder were damaged and that there was no life and his arm and they even considered amputating it. Fortunately, the doctor told him that his hand was not completely damaged and although they ruled out amputation, he was told that it would take time for the hand to ever regain strength.
Black Coffee, who has learnt to live with his hand, revealed that he often feels some sensation on his hand but he didn’t have hopes of ever working with it saying that God had put him in that space for a reason and that he couldn’t imagine himself deejaying with two hands as he would probably suck.
Why did Black Coffee stop wearing arm braces?

Still talking to Anele Mdoda, Black Coffee further revealed how he had been bullied by kids while he was growing up because of his hand and for a long time, he stopped wearing an arm brace.
But after years of keeping his arm concealed, the deejay who is trying to be a good role model to his children in teaching them to be true to themselves is all about embracing himself.
“We all have little or big things that we don’t like about ourselves and we often put ourselves down before other people do. I’m personally working towards breaking those chains in my space, and I believe with this, I’m gonna unlock even more opportunities for myself. Don’t let anything pull you down.” He said.
We hope that the story of Black Coffee’s hand inspires you today. Firstly, not to let your physical shortcomings get in the way of your success. And secondly, we all have flaws and shortcomings- every single one of us. Get out and embrace your imperfections and if the world judges you then that’s their problem, not yours.
Trouble in paradise: Actor Khaya Dladla & Mercutio allegedly split
Mzansi actor and radio personality Khaya Dladla, and his partner Mercutio Buthelezi, have allegedly broken up. The couple was once was one of Mzansi’s favourite gay couples in celebville, and they were completely inseparable.
They used to serve major couple goals on social media with their matching outfits, and vacations. However, lately, they have stopped interacting on social media, leading fans to speculate that they have thrown in the towel.
The pair has even deleted pictures of each other on their respective social media platforms. As if that wasn’t enough to cause the speculation that trouble is indeed brewing in paradise, they have also unfollowed each other on Instagram.
This has left fans wondering whether or not their relationship is over. It is also unclear what caused their relationship to hit rock bottom, but it seems they were not able to mend it- or perhaps they are just taking a break and will come back stronger.
Another couple that recently called it quits is Phelo Bala and Moshe Ndiki. The couple announced that they had gotten married in 2020 in a private wedding ceremony.
Their union was marred by accusations of abuse with Phelo saying Moshe had abused him. The couple then deleted pictures of each other on their social media platforms, but they rekindled their love.
Earlier this year they were rocked by breakup rumours after they stopped posting each other on social media. Fans were left curious about their status but Moshe decided to set the record straight.
He made their divorce public and said that he is not discouraged and will get married again.
In an interview with Isolezwe, the TV host confirmed that their marriage has come to an end. “As a person who was previously married, I will get married again because I love marriage and love. The problem is not in love or marriage, it’s with people,” he said.
This was after they celebrated their anniversary and where Moshe gushed over Phelo after two years of getting married. “Happy 2nd year wedding anniversary, love @moshendiki. Can’t believe we’ve made it this far…I think you don’t know how strong you are to handle someone like me until Moshe tells you so. I’m an extremist and at times a gentleman. Sometimes I’m laughing with you, other times I’m so wrong but you try your best to keep us going. I love you and I mean it! I pray that God keeps you around with me in time for you to see His glory in my life,” he captioned the post.”
